Hamilton Solar Farm takes shape

Work is progressing at pace on the 58MW large-scale Hamilton Solar Farm being supported by ERM Power.

POSTED 23/10/2017

In March, ERM Power announced the signing of a power and Large-scale Generation Certificate (LGC) offtake agreement with Edify Energy and Wirsol, to underpin construction of the farm in regional Queensland.

Work at the farm, which is being built by Bouygues Construction Australia, is well advanced. Piling continues, tracker installation has commenced and the solar modules have started arrived on site.

The agreement ERM Power has signed with Edify Energy and Wirsol will see the Company purchase all of the energy and LGCs produced by Hamilton Solar Farm in coming years. It reinforces ERM Power’s commitment to supporting the growth of renewable sources of energy in Australia.

The amount of energy that will be generated annually by Hamilton Solar Farm is equivalent to powering approximately 450 schools in Queensland for 12 months.
