Jon StretchManaging Director and CEO
Jon joined ERM Power as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on 2 February 2015. He is an experienced chief executive with broad international experience in the information technology (IT), telecommunications and industrial sectors.
Jon’s background in systems and process engineering, and business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) sales and marketing has enabled him to lead business transformation and growth in Australia and internationally.
Prior to joining ERM Power, Jon was the Executive Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Landis+Gyr, the leading provider of smart metering and energy management solutions globally. Jon joined Landis+Gyr as Executive Vice President Asia Pacific in January 2008 and in April 2010 moved to Switzerland to take up the EMEA position.
Prior to joining Landis+Gyr, Jon was CEO of AAPT, an Australian based telecommunications company, wholly owned by Telecom New Zealand and was based in Sydney. He has had extensive experience in Asia and Europe in IT and telecommunications, starting his career with IBM in Australia in 1986. He spent six years in Hong Kong with IBM and AT&T running substantial cross regional telecommunications services businesses, and several years running AT&T’s business across Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in Paris.

Mitch AndersonExecutive General Manager, Business Energy (US)
CEO of ERM Business Energy, LLC
Mitch Anderson joined the company in 2007. Mitch currently leads Source Power & Gas (Source) in the United States as CEO. He is responsible for planning, implementing and integrating the strategy for Source which is based in Houston, Texas. He led the acquisition of Source by ERM Power in 2014 and is now focussed on positioning Source as a top 10 retailer to business customers in the electricity markets known as PJM (several north eastern states) and ERCOT (most of the Texas market).
Mitch formerly led ERM Business Energy (Australia), the number two electricity retailer to businesses in Australia. Mitch has 24 years of experience in energy retailing and trading across three countries. His roles have ranged from financial analysis to risk management, trading, retail operations, sales and executive management.
Mitch holds a Master’s in Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California and Bachelor of Science degree from California State University.
Michelle BarryExecutive General Manager, Corporate Affairs (Investor Relations, Human Resources, Regulatory Affairs and Communications)
Michelle Barry joined ERM Power in August 2015 as Executive General Manager Corporate Affairs. Michelle has more than 20 years’ experience in media and corporate affairs roles across the energy and financial services sectors.
Prior to joining ERM Power, Michelle was with the top 20 ASX-listed Suncorp Group for eight years during which time she held executive roles in corporate communications and media, investor and government relations. Michelle also brings energy sector experience from her time with Duke Energy in Australia. This role was newly created in August 2015, reflective of ERM Power’s growth and aspirations and the importance of growing relationships with investors, media, government, regulators and other key external stakeholders.
Gregg BuskeyExecutive General Manager, Corporate Finance & Strategy
Gregg Buskey was appointed Executive General Manager Corporate Finance & Strategy in 2015. Since joining ERM Power in 2006 he has played key roles in generation development, corporate development, and finance and strategy including the greenfield development of Neerabup Power Station, acquisition of Oakey Power Station, Source Power and Gas in the US and Greensense in Australia. Gregg leads a small team responsible for both strategy development and financing activities, both critical to the business strategy underpinning ERM Power’s growth and 2020 business plans.
Prior to joining ERM Power, Gregg was in commercial development with Enertrade and worked in robotic engineering.
Phil DavisGroup General Counsel and Company Secretary
Phil Davis joined ERM Power in December 2007 and was appointed Group General Counsel and Company Secretary in October 2015. During this time his roles and responsibilities have covered the whole of ERM Power’s business including generation, sales, gas activities, compliance and corporate governance. Phil has practiced as a lawyer for more than 17 years in the corporate, construction, property, energy and resource sectors.
Phil has advised ERM Power throughout its transition from a private power station developer to an integrated energy company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
David GuiverExecutive General Manager, Trading
David Guiver joined ERM Power in 2007 and leads a team of energy trading and wholesale market specialists who work with the Business Energy team to deliver electricity to ERM Power’s rapidly growing customer base across commercial, industrial and SME markets. As one of the largest retailers of electricity in the Australian market, David’s team plays a key role in sourcing competitively priced energy risk management products in the National Electricity Market and the South West Interconnected System and has developed and implemented trading and capital management strategies that have enabled significant growth and profitability of the retail business. The team is also responsible for the commercial operations and dispatch of ERM’s power station assets in Queensland and Western Australia, and is one of the largest traders of renewable energy and energy efficiency certificates nationally.
David has over 15 years’ experience in electricity trading and retailing. Prior to joining ERM Power he was in a number of commercial roles, including trading, product development and product management at Ergon Energy.
David is elected to a number of key industry bodies, including the Australian Securities Exchange’s Energy Product Advisory Committee and the Australian Financial Markets Association’s Electricity Committee and Environmental Products Committee.
Megan HoughtonExecutive General Manager, Energy Solutions
Megan Houghton joined ERM Power as Executive General Manager, Energy Solutions, in November 2016. Megan is a senior executive with over 20 years’ experience in consulting, government, energy and water utilities leading business strategy, growth and transformation.
Prior to joining ERM Power, Megan was Director-General for the Queensland Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games. She has previously held senior executive positions in strategy and finance with Energex, United Energy and PricewaterhouseCoopers and non-executive director roles on the boards of GOLDOC (the 2018 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee), Tourism and Events Queensland, Unity Water and Urbis. As the CEO of CitySmart, Brisbane’s sustainability agency, Megan built the start-up business and lead it for six years. Megan is a member of Chief Executive Women and a former Telstra Queensland Business Woman of the Year and named as an AFR 100 Women of Influence.
As Executive General Manager, Energy Solutions, Megan is responsible for the growth of the company’s Energy Solutions business, which includes Greensense, Lumaled and Powermetric. This role was newly created in 2016, recognising the strategic importance of integrated energy solutions to ERM Power and its customers.
Derek McKayChief Information Officer
Executive General Manager - Generation
Derek McKay joined ERM Power in 2007 to manage ERM Power’s generation portfolio. Since that time he has held a number of senior roles in business development, generation and trading, Derek has overseen the evolution of these areas in support of ERM Power’s business strategy and growth. Derek manages teams across ERM Power’s two gas-fired peaking power stations, located in Queensland and Western Australia. His team includes the Powermetric business division and the IT teams across infrastructure support and software development.
Derek is an experienced energy market executive who, over the past 25 years, has developed an in-depth understanding of the Australian gas and electricity industries. Prior to joining ERM Power, Derek was the General Manager of Trading and Operations at Enertrade, where he managed Enertrade’s high pressure gas pipeline generation assets, and gas and electricity trading functions.
Steve RogersExecutive General Manager, Business Energy (AU)
Steve Rogers was appointed Executive General Manager of Business Energy (Australia) in 2014. Steve leads the retailing business in Australia which is responsible for the acquisition, retention and growth of the SME and commercial and industrial customer base. Steve is a founding member of ERM Power’s retail business, initially responsible for running the operations of the company. ERM Retail was established in 2007 and quickly grew to become the second largest electricity retailer to businesses in Australia with leading customer satisfaction.
Prior to joining ERM Power, Steve held a variety of commercial roles in the utilities sector at Ergon Energy, Worldcom (now Verizon) and British Telecom. Steve started his career as an accountant at Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) and has a Bachelor of Commerce.
James SpenceChief Financial Officer
James Spence was appointed Chief Financial Officer at ERM Power in September 2015. James has international experience in energy retailing businesses in Australia, the United Kingdom and US markets.
From 2012 to 2015 James was the CFO of Energy Australia, a subsidiary of China Light and Power, and a significant electricity retailer and generator in the Australian market. James also held a variety of senior financial roles from 2002 to 2012 with Centrica plc operating companies, among them British Gas, Direct Energy and Centrica Energy. During his tenure with Centrica, James was the CFO of Direct Energy, Centrica’s North American subsidiary that operates across Canada and the US in retail energy and related services, from 2010 to 2012. James is a Chartered Accountant. He is a dual British and New Zealand citizen and a permanent resident of Australia.
