ERM Power has been the dominant developer of generation in Australia since deregulation having conceived and developed approximately 50% of all new generation in the last 3 years. ERM Power has established complete in-house capability to conceive, develop, finance, construct, operate and trade major new generation assets and has plans to develop a further 5000 MW over the next 5 years.

With a stable corporate, technical and financial platform ERM Power is expanding upstream into exploration and downstream into retailing of electricity.

Generation activities fall into two distinct areas - development and operations. Development is responsible for taking projects from conception, through feasibility, procurement, financing, construction and commissioning. Operations is responsible for the operation and maintenance of power stations and associated pipeline and transmission infrastructure and for trading generated electricity in the market.
